Luxury Condos Up For Auction

Bids on Invermere condos to start at $85,000

The Windermere Lake area in B.C.’s Columbia Valley has always been a favourite playground for Calgarians, a popularity that could increase at a pretty good price.

.On May 16 Kennedy Wilson, a real estate auction company, and Calgary-based Buss Marketing will conduct a one-time only closeout auction of 40 luxury condominiums at Invermere’s Lake Windermere Pointe, with starting bids set from $85,000 to $180,000 on condos previously priced at up to $512,900.

The development features 11 floor plans in one- or two-bedroom configurations, with sizes up to 1,249 sq. ft., with high end finishing materials such as ceramic tile flooring in the entryway and brushed nickel hardware in kitchens.

A Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is being introduced by the B.C. government on July 1, which will add to the price of all recreational properties in the province and the auction is timed to beat the increases.

Interested bidders are invited to attend the informational seminar on May 5 at the Midtown Sales Centre, 1015 4 St. S.W., Suite 3107 starting at 7 p.m. when the auction process, conditions and registration procedures will be explained.

The sales centre is also open Monday to Friday from noon to 7 p.m. and weekends noon to 5 p.m.

The auction will take place on May 16, beginning at 1 p.m. at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park.

Deadline for registration is May 13 at 6 p.m.
