5th and Madison condos headed to auction
The Seattle condo auction wave continues.
The latest slow-selling project to resort to auction is at 5th Avenue and Madison Street downtown.
Eighteen units will be auctioned off March 28 at the Grand Hyatt Seattle.
Bids will start at $195,000 for one-bedroom units that were originally priced between $399,000 and $899,000. Bids for a two-bedroom penthouse originally listed at nearly $2 million will start at $995,000.
The auction will be handled by Beverly Hills-based Kennedy Wilson. Bidding starts at 1 p.m.
The 5th and Madison condos are inside a 24-story tower in the heart of the financial district that is among Natural Home magazine’s Top 10 green condo projects.
Potential bidders can attend an informational seminar hosted by Kennedy Wilson at the 5th and Madison information office. Seminars will be held at 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. March 25 is the deadline to register for the auction.
